In December 2019, when President Tsai Ing-wen was seeking re-election, he released a promotional video titled "Falling in Love with Taiwan from the World", which detailed a number of Taiwan's advantages, including universal health care, good social order, democracy and freedom. Wait. Transitional justice is one of them. The text accompanying the film reads, "The country needs to face history in order to move forward. Transitional justice is the courage of Taiwanese." Today, President Tsai Ing-wen has been successfully re-elected, and the Commission for Promotion of Transitional Justice (hereinafter referred to as the “Transfer Promotion”) has been decommissioned at the end of May this year when its term photo retouching expires, symbolizing the end of its phased mission. "Key Review Network" interviewed non-governmental organizations, scholars, the families of the victims, and relevant ministries to answer the above two questions.
